Todays’ heterogeneous manufacturing environments and isolated elements hinder the realization of a complete data consistent digital twin. Against this background, an increased connectivity based on Industrial Internet Things (IIoT) might be future key enabler for However, it requires each domain to transfer, rearrange rethink their individual solutions in framework that is IIoT-ready.
